Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 Available

I received a notification today that Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 is available for download.  It looks promising!  A couple of the new features I particularly like are Activities and WebSlices.

In general, Activities provide you with enhanced abilities when working with text on a web page.  You can select text and map it to addresses, retrieve google definitions and a ton more.  Check out Activities hereWebSlices allow you to grab an area of a web site page and poll it on a regular basis.  Once configured, you can then use those "slices" of information instead of going to a site and viewing everything.  See more on WebSlices here.

Yep, it's been out for a while.  Did you hear about the huge controversy surrounding their web standards rendering with DOCTYPES?  I heard that beta 2 is slated I think for next month.
