Free SharePoint Webinar: Findability - Tools and Technology Alone is not the Answer

I wanted to personally thank everyone who joined the free webinar this morning.  The turn-out was great and by the response we received these topics are "real" problems.  We have made the presentation and associate article available in the Media section of this community site.  Please feel free to download as needed.

All media (files) associated with this webinar series can be found here.

The first presentation and associated article can be downloaded from:

Thank you again for attending!

The next webinar will be focused on the topic of Findability - Aligning Architecture and Design with Business Needs.  As soon as this is scheduled, which will be later today or tomorrow, I will let you know!

Thank you for this webinar.  It was my first, and I enjoyed it!  It was comforting to hear that many companies struggle with the change from a file share system to a DMS.  We are up against quite a lot of resistance at the moment.

Please could you explain more about what you meant when you said "enterprise information architecture is the answer"?

Hi Annemarie,

I am glad you enjoyed the first webinar and I hope you are able to attend the additional 5 in this series.

There is a belief that we can simply throw documents in a document management system and some how that system will immediately add value to the business.  The reality is, information has to be deliberately designed (i.e. architected) to deliver value to the business.  And it can be a monumential taks.

I will be providing more information as I write more about the topics in my blog and in our webinar series.
