Starting this Thursday morning from 9am to 10am (PST), I will be delivering the first in a series of free webinars on the topic of SharePoint Findability. Along with each of these free webinars, I will be writing an article that will be downloadable, in PDF format, right here on my blog; see the post I made this last weekend here.
Findability is both the art and science of making information available to business users within the scope and context of their current need. Needless to say, this can be a monumental task with the amount of unstructured information being managed by organizations. I have seen orgaizations fail time and time again because there is a belief that SharePoint technology alone can solve the needs. To be successful, you need a clear understanding of the problem, planning & strategy tools to make it happen, governance to keep it alive and healthy and buy-in from virtually everyone.
